KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Madhav Sapkota has emphasized that laws should be designed to improve service standards.

Speaking at a committee meeting held in Singha Durbar on Tuesday, Sapkota made the remarks during a discussion with amendment proponents of the Nepal Aviation Service Authority Bill, 2081.

He stated that legal reforms in the aviation sector must focus on institutional enhancement and better service delivery.

Merely creating separate structures without upgrading service standards, he noted, would render structural changes meaningless.

Sapkota further stressed that the law should encourage private sector involvement and foreign investment, and should be developed in a way that builds trust at the international level.
