MP Bhote calls for urgent rescue plan in Limi Valley

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Tshering Damdul Lama Bhote has urged the government to formulate a special rescue plan for the residents of Til village in Limi Valley, Humla.

Speaking during Tuesday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Bhote drew the government’s attention to the worsening living conditions of the locals, stating that they have nowhere to go and are in urgent need of support.

He called for an emergency meeting to immediately address the crisis and demanded that a special package be prepared to initiate a “Save the Himalayas” campaign starting from Humla district.
