KATHMANDU: The upcoming Nepali film ‘Kumari’, set to hit theaters on Magh 23, has unveiled what is being touted as the largest movie poster ever displayed in Nepal.

The massive hoarding covers an entire eight-story building housing Friends Cinema Hall in Dharan, measuring 3,200 square feet (40 by 80 feet).

The poster alone reportedly cost around Rs 80,000 for printing.

The film’s production team claims this is the largest poster ever printed and installed in the country, capturing the attention of passersby in Dharan’s bustling area.

Currently, the song ‘Doko Bunne Nigali Choyale’ from the movie is generating widespread buzz. Centering on the singer Kehar Singh Limbu and his band ‘Kehar and the Lunga’, the film is organizing ‘Kumari Live Musical Concerts’ in five cities: Nepalgunj, Pokhara, Chitwan, Kathmandu, and Damak. The concerts will feature live performances from the band along with the film’s lead actors Abishek Khadka, Aakriti Rajbhandari, and director Dinesh Raut.

Directed by romance-genre specialist Dinesh Raut, ‘Kumari’ is described as a strong romantic story.

The film’s story is written by Bikash Dev (likely a translation error; original: Bikash Dev / Katha Bikash Sunedi), and it is produced by Mahendra Adhikari.
