Ministry allocation: Narayan Kaji as Foreign Minister, Pun for Finance

During Wednesday afternoon’s meeting held in Baluwatar, the coalition parties have finalized the distribution of ministries.
According to the agreement, Narayan Kaji Shrestha from the CPN (Maoist Centre) will become the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Maoist party has also reached a consensus to appoint current Under Secretary Pun as the Minister of Finance.
From the CPN (UML), Secretary Raghuvir Mahaseth will become the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure. Information was provided by CPN (UML) Vice-Chair Bishnu Paudel, confirming the consensus reached.
The four ministries to be taken by the RSP have also been decided.
President Rabi Lamichhane is set to become the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs.
Suman Shrestha will be the Minister of Education, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha will hold the portfolio of Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dol Prasad Aryal (DP) will become the Minister of Labour.
Both Lamichhane and Aryal have previously held responsibilities in the same ministries.
Last Monday, Padam Giri from UML, Aryal from RSVP and Hit Bahadur Tamang from Maoist became ministers.
