Minister urges one meal of millet a day for better health
Speaking at a millet plantation program in Changunarayan, Bhaktapur, organized to mark National Millet Day, Minister Adhikari emphasized the health benefits of millet.
KATHMANDU: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ramnath Adhikari, has urged every Nepali to include at least one meal of millet-based food each day for a healthier life.
Speaking at a millet plantation program in Changunarayan, Bhaktapur, organized to mark National Millet Day, Minister Adhikari emphasized the health benefits of millet.
He stated that regular consumption of millet dishes not only benefits current generations but also contributes to the well-being of future ones.
He highlighted the nutritional value of millet and encouraged people to adopt it as a regular part of their diet. “If every Nepali eats one meal of millet a day, we can stay healthy and strong,” he said.
Adhikari also stressed the economic potential of millet farming, urging farmers to cultivate more millet for both health and financial gain.
