KATHMANDU: A complaint has been lodged with the police against the Minister of Social Development of Sudurpaschim.

Dhan Bahadur Bohara, Ward Chair of Bungal Rural Municipality-1 in Bajhang, has sought police protection, stating that Jhapta Bahadur Saud, the 43-year-old son of Bir Bahadur Saud from Ramarosan Rural Municipality-6, has repeatedly demanded a significant amount of money from him on various occasions. Allegedly, threats of dire consequences have been made if the requested sum is not repaid. In light of these issues, Dhan Bahadur Bohara has submitted a formal request for security and investigation, expressing concerns for his safety.

His complaint reads, “I have been facing issues as he demanded money as a loan. Even after the agreed-upon time limit expired, he not only refrained from returning the borrowed amount but also sought to reclaim the money using various excuses. Moreover, he has resorted to threats and intimidation, indicating a potential threat to my peace and security. I urge for necessary investigation and measures to ensure my safety.”

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kuldeep Chand confirmed that Bohra had filed a complaint saying that Saud had threatened him with his life. He said that the incident will be investigated.
