KATHMANDU: Amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and increasing military confrontations involving Israel, the United States, and Iran, global energy supply chains are facing disruptions.

Key maritime routes for oil and gas transportation have been affected, raising concerns over unstable fuel supplies in international markets.

South Asia, including Nepal, is beginning to feel the impact, with consumers expressing growing concerns over the availability of cooking gas.

Being fully reliant on imports, Nepal’s energy supply system is particularly vulnerable to fluctuations in the international market.

Recent days have seen increased crowds at gas depots and retail outlets, reflecting anxiety over supply stability and prompting greater interest in alternative cooking solutions.

In response, international home appliances brand Midea has introduced its advanced Induction Hob to the Nepalese market as an effective alternative to gas.

Operating on electromagnetic technology, Midea’s induction hobs promise fast, safe, and energy-efficient cooking.

According to the company, Midea induction hobs feature modern technologies such as touch and push-button controls, large cooking zones, adjustable temperature settings, timers, energy-saving modes, overheat protection, and multi-safety systems.

Designed for quiet operation and compatibility with a variety of cookware, these hobs offer convenience for everyday use.

Currently, the Nepalese market has five Midea induction hob models available: MC-CLC22W15, MC-VS213R-EMC, RTY2014, SKY1914, and MC-3D3001R212. Each model offers varying power capacities and comes with a 24-month warranty.

Midea home appliances are officially distributed in Nepal through CG Electronics, a leading electronics distributor under the Chaudhary Group, known for providing high-quality international household appliances to Nepali consumers.

As energy challenges continue to rise, Midea emphasizes that adopting safe, fast, and energy-efficient technologies like the Induction Hob can provide a reliable and modern solution for contemporary Nepalese kitchens.
