MetLife Nepal supports government Reconstruction Fund

KATHMANDU: MetLife Nepal has donated Rs 2.5 million to the government-established Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund as part of its corporate social responsibility, aiming to support reconstruction, economic recovery, and relief efforts for physical structures damaged during the protests on Sept 7 and 24.

MetLife Nepal Executive Director Nirmalkaji Shrestha formally informed Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal of the contribution upon depositing the amount into the fund on Monday.

Finance Minister Khanal expressed his appreciation for MetLife Nepal’s support.

The Ministry of Finance stated that total deposits in the fund have reached Rs 1,233,650,000 to date.
