KATHMANDU: In a thrilling Premier League clash, Manchester United defeated title-chasing Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium.

The winner came in dramatic fashion in the 87th minute as Matheus Cunha struck from distance to seal United’s victory.

Arsenal took an early lead through a Lisandro Martinez own goal in the 29th minute, but United responded when Bryan Mbeumo capitalized on a sloppy pass to level in the 37th.

The second half saw Patrick Dorgu give United the lead, only for Mikel Merino to equalize in the 84th minute. Cunha’s late strike ensured Arsenal suffered their first home defeat of the season.

With rivals Manchester City and Aston Villa winning their fixtures, Arsenal’s lead at the top is now reduced to just four points.

The win also moves Manchester United up to fourth place, overtaking Chelsea and Liverpool.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 3-1, while Aston Villa defeated Newcastle 2-0, and Nottingham Forest also won 2-0 against Benford.
