KATHMANDU: Manchester City kept the Premier League title race alive with a dominant 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday.

The win moved City within just two points of league leaders Arsenal with two matches remaining in the season, setting up a tense finish in the title battle.

Despite leaving key players including Erling Haaland, Jérémy Doku and Rayan Cherki out of the starting lineup, manager Pep Guardiola saw his side produce another commanding performance.

City opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when Phil Foden delivered a superb pass for Antoine Semenyo, who calmly finished to put the hosts ahead.

Just eight minutes later, Foden again turned provider as Omar Marmoush doubled City’s advantage with a clinical strike before halftime.

Although the tempo slowed after the break, City maintained control throughout the second half. Palace created a handful of chances but failed to find the net against the disciplined home side.

Substitute Savinho sealed the victory in the 84th minute after combining neatly with Cherki to make it 3-0.

With only two games left, Arsenal remain top of the table with 79 points, while Manchester City continue to apply pressure in the race for the Premier League crown.
