Man killed in knife attack over domestic dispute

KATHMANDU: A man has died after being attacked with a vegetable-cutting knife during a domestic dispute in Thankot on Saturday night.

The incident occurred around 9 PM when 38-year-old Sami Ahmed, a resident of Mahottari living in a rented room at Kharibot, allegedly stabbed his 22-year-old brother-in-law, Zakir Mansuri, during a family conflict.

According to the District Police Range, Bhadrakali, Mansuri sustained serious injuries in the attack and was rushed to Mid Point Hospital in Satungal, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.

Police have taken the alleged attacker, Sami Ahmed, into custody at the Thankot Police Circle for further investigation.
