KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has organized a two-day workshop and group hiking program as part of its annual activities, reaffirming its commitment to environmental conservation, cultural and heritage preservation, and the promotion of sustainable banking practices.

The program was held on March 8-9 (Falgun 24-25) with the enthusiastic participation of departmental heads, provincial chiefs, branch managers, and other bank employees.

During the workshop, participants reviewed the bank’s overall financial performance for the ongoing fiscal year 2082/83 and discussed the positive outlook following the recently concluded elections, as well as potential economic challenges arising from the international environment.

To spread the message that the banking sector should adopt sustainable financial practices, participants also conducted a group walk along the banks of Phewa Lake, a site of significant historical and environmental importance.

The program also emphasized the importance of green banking and sustainable financial strategies.

Guided by its slogan, “Strong Bank, Successful Collaboration,” the bank has been providing quality financial services across Nepal for the past 31 years.

Currently, the bank operates 103 branch offices nationwide and serves more than 850,000 customers.
