Madhav’s entry into the new alliance, will get two ministries

KATHMANDU: CPN Unified Samajwadi Party, headed by Madhav Kumar Nepal is also set to join the new coalition government.

The secretariat met on Wednesday at the party’s headquarters office in Aloknagar and resolved to join the new coalition government with two ministries.

According to the resolution of the secretariat meeting, the Samajwadi Party would take over the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, as well as another ministry.

Previously, the Nepali Congress headed a seven-party coalition administration that included two ministers and one minister of state.

Beduram Bhusal was Minister of Agriculture in the previous coalition administration, while Prakash Jwala was Minister of Physical Infrastructure.

On the other side, Nanda Chapai held the position of Minister of State for Physics.

Only on Tuesday, CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ reached Koteshwar and held talks with Samajwadi President Nepal for 2 hours.

According to the agreement reached in the talks, Samajwadi held a secretariat meeting on Wednesday and decided to join the new coalition and go to the government.
