KATHMANDU: Machhapuchchhre Bank has announced the opening of its 12th extension counter at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, the country’s largest hospital.

The bank aims to enhance convenience for patients and visitors by providing on-site banking services.

A bilateral agreement was signed for the establishment of the counter, with Dr. Subash Prasad Acharya, Executive Director of TUTH, representing the hospital, and Santosh Koirala, CEO of Machhapuchchhre Bank, representing the bank.

Following the agreement, the bank will construct the necessary infrastructure at the space provided by the hospital. Previously, the bank offered ATM services within the hospital premises.

With the new counter, patients will be able to pay medical bills, access remittance services, and conduct various banking transactions seamlessly during their hospital visits.

This initiative marks another step in the bank’s mission to provide modern banking services to government and public institutions, supporting both patients and hospital financial operations through digital solutions.
