KATHMANDU: Lhakpa Sherpa has made history once again after successfully summiting Mount Everest for the 11th time, setting a new world record for the most Everest ascents by a woman.

According to Seven Summit Treks, the renowned Nepali mountaineer reached the 8,848.86-meter summit at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, marking another milestone in her extraordinary climbing career.

With this achievement, Sherpa strengthens her legacy as the first woman in the world to reach the Everest summit more times than any other female climber.

Her latest ascent further cements her status among the most accomplished high-altitude mountaineers in history.
