Largest-ever bell installed at Manakamana Temple in Sankhuwasabha
The total cost of the project, including both the bell and the bell tower, amounts to approximately Rs 3.4 million.
KATHMANDU: A massive bell, said to be the largest in the district to date, has been installed at the revered Manakamana Temple located in Khandbari Municipality–9.
The bell was donated by U.S.-based Surendra Shrestha and his spouse in loving memory of their late ancestors.
Alongside the bell, a traditional wooden bell tower has also been constructed.
The total cost of the project, including both the bell and the bell tower, amounts to approximately Rs 3.4 million.
According to temple priest Suryaprasad Kattel, the newly installed bell is the largest in the entire Sankhuwasabha district.
The Manakamana Temple holds deep religious significance among devotees, who believe that sincere prayers and worship at this sacred site lead to the fulfillment of their heartfelt wishes.
