KATHMANDU: Laminar Tiles, Nepal’s pioneering fully vitrified tile brand, unveiled its latest collection today, Monolith Digital FullBody—at the Nepal Buildcon International Expo 2026.

Monolith is conceived as a state-of-the-art architectural surface drawing inspiration from nature’s elemental structures—limestone, sand, ash, slate and obsidian—to deliver visual minimalism with lasting performance.

Monolith Digital Fullbody tiles overcomes key limitations – glazed tiles can suffer from surface wear revealing contrasting body colour whereas fullbody tiles offer confined design choices.

Digital Fullbody pairs the variety of digital designs with the longevity of fullbody tiles, allowing homes and public spaces to age gracefully.

Building on Cento—Nepal’s first domestic fullbody collection—Monolith advances digital full-body innovation. Offered in Matt Carving, Granular Matt and Grit Textura, Monolith achieves PEI Class V wear resistance, Mohs 6+ scratch resistance and R9 slip performance.

It suits demanding wet zones, exteriors and heavy-usage areas needing long-term durability and low maintenance.

Laminar remains as the only domestic manufacturer offering advanced full-body technical ceramics, historically import-dependent.

The collection was officially launched at a ceremony held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, where it was noted that Monolith represents Nepal’s growing capability to manufacture internationally certified ceramics, helping reduce dependence on imports.

The launch follows Laminar’s NS 617:2082 certification (Jan 2026), classifying its tiles as Fully Vitrified (Group B Ia)—the highest national performance tier.

At the expo, Laminar showcases all seven existing collections alongside Monolith. The full range—over 400 designs—is viewable at the Laminar Experience Centre in Uttardhoka, Kathmandu, and through 160+ authorised dealers nationwide.

Ashutosh Khetan, representing Laminar Tiles, commented, “With Monolith, we capture the enduring elegance of natural stone in a minimalistic architectural language, while delivering structural dependability for demanding environments. Monolith Digital Full body tiles excel in high-traffic commercial venues such as airports, shopping centers, hotels, hospitals and offices, as well as any residential areas including living rooms, corridors, bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, pool area and façades.”
