Lamichhane holds talks with leaders, no PM deal yet

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has revealed that discussions are ongoing with Sudan Gurung and Energy Minister Kulman Ghising.

Speaking to reporters in Chitwan on Tuesday before heading to Bhairahawa to appear in court, Lamichhane said dialogue has begun with all forces described as “new and alternative” for potential collaboration.

According to him, late Monday night, he also met with Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen). When asked if there was an agreement to make Balen the next Prime Minister, Lamichhane replied, “We have not reached that stage yet. First, we need to understand each other.”
