KMC Mayor Shah meets PM Karki
Mayor Shah saw it as an opportunity to discuss the key issues highlighted by the protests rather than routine administrative matters.
KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah met with Prime Minister Sushila Karki at Baluwatar on Wednesday morning at 9 AM.
The meeting focused primarily on the demands raised by ongoing protests.
According to sources, while the meeting was informal in nature, Mayor Shah saw it as an opportunity to discuss the key issues highlighted by the protests rather than routine administrative matters.
“Discussion centered on the issues raised by the movement. It was more of an informal interaction than a work-related meeting, focusing specifically on the protest demands,” a source said.
The meeting lasted about 30 minutes and included Prime Minister Karki’s husband Durga Subedi, members of the secretariat, and Mayor Shah’s team, including his aide Kumar Ben.
