KATHMANDU: Kedar Prasad Yadav has been re-elected as the Chair of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), Nepal, Saptari District, for a second term.

In the election, Yadav secured 235 votes, defeating his closest contender Umesh Yadav, who received 205 votes.

Laxman Yadav and Hareram Yadav have been elected as Vice-Chairpersons, while Niraj Jha was elected as Secretary.

The district convention of JSP Nepal in Saptari began on Shrawan 14.

The election was held after the closed session of the convention failed to reach a consensus on leadership selection.
