Kathmandu Metropolitan fails to present budget on scheduled deadline

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has missed the deadline of Ashar 10 to present the budget for the fiscal year 2082/083.

Following the delay, the Budget Drafting and Program Committee formally urged Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) to take the matter seriously and not neglect the budget submission any further.

Despite repeated informal meetings and pressure from executive members and municipal assembly members, Mayor Shah has reportedly ignored the calls to finalize and present the budget.
