KATHMANDU: The second edition of the Vatsalya Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL) will kick off with a thrilling clash between defending champions Karnali Yashvis and Pokhara Ninjas.
The opening match is scheduled for Friday, Sept 3, at 2:00 PM.
Later the same day, former runners-up Lalitpur Queens will take on Madhesh United at 4:00 PM, promising another exciting contest for fans.
Organized by Infinity Dreams Pvt. Ltd., the league’s second edition will run from September 6 to 14 at Pokhara’s Multi-Purpose Covered Hall.
Six franchise teams, including Karnali Yashvis, Lalitpur Queens, Kathmandu Spikers, Madhesh United, Lumbini Lavaj, and Pokhara Ninjas, will compete in a single round-robin format, with the two highest-scoring teams advancing to the final on September 14.
Adding international flair to the competition, 18 foreign players from various countries have joined the league, enhancing the level of competition and excitement for spectators in Pokhara.
The Everest Women’s Volleyball League continues to be a premier platform for showcasing women’s volleyball talent in Nepal, attracting both national and international attention.
