Kantipur MAX to broadcast T20 World Cup live

KATHMANDU: Kantipur MAX will broadcast all matches of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup live, marking the first time a Nepali television channel will air the prestigious tournament.

Kantipur Media Group CEO Maheshwar Swar confirmed that all 55 matches will be telecast live, with English commentary on Kantipur MAX and Nepali commentary on Kantipur MAX 2.
The tournament’s live broadcast will be sponsored by Xtreme Energy Drinks, following a sponsorship agreement signed on Wednesday by Kantipur MAX Business Head Sagar KC and Xtreme Energy Drinks Sales Head Pawan Kumar Shrestha.
CEO Swar emphasized that the move aligns with Kantipur MAX’s vision to develop as a dedicated sports channel, calling it a proud moment for Nepal to have its matches broadcast live on a domestic network.
He also expressed gratitude to the ICC for entrusting a Nepali channel with the coverage.
Nepal Cricket Association Secretary Paras Khadka highlighted that live coverage of Nepal’s T20 World Cup matches represents a significant investment in the development of Nepali cricket.
This will be Nepal’s third appearance in the T20 World Cup.
The team has been placed in Group C alongside England, West Indies, Italy, and Scotland. Nepal will open their campaign against England on February 8 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
