JSP’s Sharma elected as a member of HoR

KATHMANDU: Manju Sharma of the Janata Samajwadi Party has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives.

Shahnaz Rahman, proportional member of JSP, passed away on Feb 25.
After her death, it was announced that Sharma, who was ranked 53rd in the closed list, female, inclusive group Muslim, ranked 2nd in the priority list within the inclusive group, was elected as a member of the House of Representatives.
Assistant Spokesperson Aryal said that it was decided to publish the name list of Sharma who was elected in the gazette and provide the certificate according to Schedule-30 related to subsection (2) of Section 38 of the House of Representatives Proportional Election Guide, 2079.
The commission also said that the information about the decision to be elected as a member of the House of Representatives will be given to the Federal Parliament and the relevant parties.
She was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart attack while attending a picnic in Bhaktapur
She died during treatment at Madhyapur Thimi Hospital.
