JSP picks Chaudhary for NA nomination

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has decided to make Puja Chaudhary a candidate for the National Assembly.
She is originally from Rautahat.
In the 2079 elections, she was beaten by an independent candidate, Keshav Rai, in the Rautahat Region No. 3 State Assembly Constituency (1).
Central Executive Committee member Rajendra Shrestha informed Setopati that the party’s Central Executive Committee meeting on Sunday decided to make Chaudhary a candidate for the National Assembly.
Jaspa and the ruling coalition have agreed to draft a joint candidate for the National Assembly. Jaspa was placed to the Madhesh women’s cluster as a result.
There is a program of nomination registration on Monday for the National Assembly elections to be held on Magh 11 (Jan 25).
