Jajarkot jeep accident: 2 dead, 4 injured
The accident occurred around 11 a.m. on Friday.
KATHMANDU: At least two people died and four others were injured when a jeep plunged down about 150 meters after its brakes failed in Jajarkot.
The accident occurred around 11 a.m. on Friday on the inner road of Bahra Nakhol, Chhedagad Municipality-8, according to the District Police Office, Jajarkot.
The jeep, bearing registration number K.P. 02-001 Cha 1327, was traveling from Pajara, Chhedagad-9, toward Thalha.
The victims who died on the spot are 70-year-old Nandakala Adhikari and 28-year-old Raju Adhikari, both residents of Pajara.
The injured include the driver Krishna Adhikari (24), Laxmi Khatri (20), Birbahadur Adhikari (39), and Sitla Rawat (23) from Dailekh.
All injured have been rescued and taken to Badaban Municipal Hospital for treatment.
The police are continuing the investigation into the incident.
