KATHMANDU: India has emerged as the highest-earning nation in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 prize distribution, following their successful title defence.
The Indian team secured the championship by defeating New Zealand by 96 runs, earning a total of $2,639,423 in prize money.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) allocated a total prize pool of $11.25 million, distributed across base participation fees, match-winning bonuses, and team progression through each tournament stage.
The top five prize recipients were:

Other participating teams received rewards commensurate with their tournament performance. Notably, Nepal earned $256,154, equivalent to approximately Rs 37.66 million at current exchange rates.
Nepal competed in Group C, recording a historic victory over Scotland while facing defeats against England, Italy, and West Indies.
The ICC emphasised that the prize distribution recognises both team and individual excellence, providing financial security and incentivising players to elevate global cricket standards.
