KATHMANDU: The 11th edition of Nepal Buildcon, an international exhibition focused on the construction and infrastructure sector, officially commenced on Thursday at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

Organized with the objective of promoting the overall development of Nepal’s construction industry, the exhibition has been held continuously for over a decade and has established itself as a key platform for the sector.

The four-day exhibition, which will run until Sunday, features participation from more than 200 national and international brands, according to Sirjal Bhattarai, Managing Director of the organizing company Media Space Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

He informed that around 130 companies are showcasing over 200 brands at this year’s Buildcon.

Bhattarai noted that the exhibition has been playing a vital role in linking Nepal’s construction industry with modern technologies and contributing significantly to infrastructure development.

According to the organizers, Nepal Buildcon serves as an excellent platform for individuals and businesses seeking cost-effective housing solutions as well as a wide range of construction-related materials under one roof.

The exhibition features products and services including architectural hardware, aluminium extrusions, marble, tiles, sanitaryware, modular and modern kitchens, roofing and cladding systems, lifts, elevators, escalators, doors and windows, flooring and wall coverings, glass and glazing, pipes and plumbing fittings, construction chemicals, PVC and uPVC profiles, batteries, generators, cement, steel, and other essential construction materials and services.
