IME, Saudi digital wallet TIQMO ink deal to expand digital transactions
According to both parties, the agreement is more than a legal formality—it represents a shared vision for a digital financial future between the two nations.
KATHMANDU: Nepal’s leading remittance provider IME has signed a strategic agreement with Saudi Arabia’s premier digital wallet TIQMO to expand digital financial services, marking a significant milestone in bilateral economic collaboration.
The signing ceremony took place on Magh 27 in Riyadh, with IME Chairman Hemraj Dhakal and TIQMO Managing Director Abdulaziz Ajlan Al-Ajlan formalizing the partnership.
The event was attended by Srijana Adhikari, Nepal’s Acting Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, IME Executive Officer Diwakar Paudyal, and senior officials from both IME and TIQMO.
According to both parties, the agreement is more than a legal formality—it represents a shared vision for a digital financial future between the two nations.
Saudi Arabia is actively moving towards a cashless society under its Vision 2030, while Nepal is rapidly enhancing digital financial accessibility.
The collaboration between IME, a trusted name in global remittance, and TIQMO, a technology-driven digital ecosystem, promises to further bridge the gap between the Himalayan nation and the Arabian Peninsula.
Historically, Nepal-Saudi relations have largely revolved around labor and traditional remittance channels.
This partnership, however, introduces a Digital Financial Corridor, enabling secure, efficient, and transparent cross-border transactions, while promoting economic stability, digital empowerment, and connectivity.
The IME brand’s iconic red in Riyadh symbolizes not just the company but the trust and pride of the Nepali people.
Through TIQMO, funds sent from any corner of Saudi Arabia are guaranteed to reach Nepal with maximum security and respect.
This Riyadh-based initiative marks the beginning of a journey to make financial transactions seamless and reliable.
Alongside the agreement, IME has launched the “Send via IME, Win Gifts” campaign via the TIQMO app.
Running from Jan 5 to March 31, this initiative allows Nepalis in Saudi Arabia to send money through IME via TIQMO and win exciting prizes.
