KATHMANDU: Two key Super 8 matches of the ICC T20 World Cup are scheduled for Thursday, both taking place in India.
The first clash features West Indies and South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad at 3:15 PM. Both teams had commanding wins in their opening Super 8 games—West Indies defeated Zimbabwe by 107 runs, while South Africa beat India by 76 runs. The winner of this match will secure a strong chance of reaching the semifinals, while the losing side will still remain in contention.
Later in the day, India will face Zimbabwe at 7:15 PM at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This is a do-or-die encounter: the losing team will be eliminated, while the winner keeps their semifinal hopes alive.
From Group B, Sri Lanka has already been eliminated from the tournament.
