HoR meeting begins, PM answering MP’s questions

KATHMANDU: The session of the House of Representatives began today with a delay of approximately one and a half hours, starting at around 11:30 AM.
During today’s session, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is addressing questions posed by lawmakers in accordance with Section 9 of the House Rules, 2079.
Furthermore, Finance Minister Pun’s proposal to ‘Deliberate on the Fiscal Bill, 2080’ will also be presented in the House of Representatives today.
Additionally, the Parliamentary Secretariat has informed that discussions will be held on the principles and priorities of the upcoming fiscal year 2081/82 budget, excluding tax proposals. The proposals for discussion on the said budget are scheduled to be registered from 1 PM to 3 PM today.
Moreover, the election of the Chairperson for the Education, Health, and Technology Committee is slated to take place on Wednesday, Chaitra 7 (March 20), at 3 PM.
Any proposals for candidacy must be registered within the specified time frame.
The process includes publishing a list of registered proposals, presenting proposals in the respective committee meeting, garnering support from members, and making decisions on the proposals under consideration.
