HoR by-polls: nominations tomorrow
The by-elections have been scheduled to be held on April 23 in the Chitwan electoral constituency-2, Tanahun-1 and Bara-2, according to the Election Commission.
KATHMANDU: Registration of nominations for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) member by-elections is taking place on April 3, tomorrow.
The by-elections have been scheduled to be held on April 23 in the Chitwan electoral constituency-2, Tanahun-1 and Bara-2, according to the Election Commission.
By-poll in Chitwan-2 is required after Rabi Lamichhane who was elected to the HoR during the November-20 election was relieved of the post with the Supreme Court’s verdict decision over his citizenship issue while it is needed in Tanahun-2 after Ram Chandra was appointed on the post of President and it will be taking place in Bara-2 with Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav’s appointment on the post of Vice President.
The Office of Chief Election Commissioner was established on Saturday in view of the HoR by-elections.
