Hikers’ Club collects waste from Fewa Lake area

GANDAKI: The Hikers’ Club Nepal, a network of hikers formed to promote tourist destinations in and around Pokhara, has led a sanitation event in the vicinity of Phewa Lake in Pokhara.

Club’s Chair Krishna Ranabhat said that the sanitation event was held along the Round Phewa route in the Raniban area.

The Club also organizes hiking events to promote the tourist destinations in the city under the theme of Round Phewa: View Phewa.

Ranabhat said that the sanitation campaign was held as part of the Club’s social responsibility adding that four sacks of plastic waste were collected during the hiking.

The Club comprises a large number of members involved in different professions and businesses in Pokhara.
