Gold, silver prices surge

KATHMANDU: Gold prices in the Nepalese market continued to surge on Tuesday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of Chhapawal increased by Rs 3,700 per tola, reaching Rs 290,300.

On Monday, the same gold had traded at Rs 286,600 per tola.

Silver prices also saw an uptick.

The price of silver, which stood at Rs 5,200 per tola on Monday, rose to Rs 5,335 per tola on Tuesday.

The association further reported that the market rates on Tuesday were Rs 248,885 per 10 grams of gold and Rs 4,574 per 10 grams of silver.
