Gold & silver prices drop significantly in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Nepali markets witnessed a notable decline in gold and silver prices today.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of Chhapawal gold fell by Rs 2,000 per tola, trading at Rs 239,900.

On the previous trading day, Sunday, gold was priced at Rs 241,900 per tola.

The drop comes as some relief for consumers.

Silver prices also saw a decrease.

From Rs 3,015 per tola on Sunday, silver is now being traded at NPR 2,980 per tola.

The association further reported that the price of 10 grams of gold stands at Rs 205,675, while 10 grams of silver is priced at Rs 2,555.
