Gold & silver prices drop

KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices declined in the local market today.

The price of gold fell by Rs 4,600 per tola, while silver dropped by Rs 150 per tola.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Association, the rate for one tola of standard gold is now Rs 281,000, and the price of an equal quantity of silver stands at Rs 4,670.

Yesterday, Thursday, gold was priced at NPR 285,600 per tola and silver at Rs 4,820 per tola.

On Wednesday, gold had traded at Rs 288,500 per tola and silver at Rs 4,920 per tola.

Internationally, an ounce of gold is currently trading at USD 4,434, while silver is priced at USD 69 per ounce.
