Gold & silver prices dip today

KATHMANDU: The prices of gold and silver declined in the local market today compared to Friday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Association, the price of one tola of Chhapawal gold stood at Rs 300,000, while the same quantity of silver was valued at Rs 5,500.

On Friday, gold had been priced at Rs 318,800 per tola and silver at Rs 7,065 per tola.

Earlier this week, gold and silver prices fluctuated as follows: Thursday – gold Rs 339,300, silver Rs 7,505; Wednesday – gold Rs 318,800, silver Rs 7,300; Tuesday – gold Rs 309,300, silver Rs 6,870.

Internationally, one ounce of gold is trading at USD 4,865, and silver at USD 85 per ounce.
