Gold, silver prices dip slightly

KATHMANDU: Today, gold and silver prices saw a modest decline in the local market compared to Thursday.

The price of gold dropped by Rs 2,800 per tola, while silver fell by Rs 20 per tola.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Association, the rate for one tola of purity stamped gold stood at Rs 314,200, and silver was priced at Rs 5,495 per tola.

On Thursday, gold and silver had traded at Rs 317,000 and Rs 5,515 per tola, respectively.

Earlier in the week, gold was recorded at Rs 319,000 on Wednesday and Rs 317,000 on Tuesday, while silver stood at Rs 5,720 on both days.

Monday saw gold at Rs 313,200 and silver at Rs 5,410 per tola.

In the international market, gold is trading at USD 5,118 per ounce and silver at USD 85 per ounce.
