Gold prices surge today

KATHMANDU: Gold prices witnessed a sharp rise in the Nepalese market on Thursday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of standard gold (chaapawal) increased by Rs 5,900 per tola, reaching Rs 250,200 per tola.

Previously, on Wednesday, gold was trading at Rs 244,300 per tola.

Silver prices also saw an upward trend. From Rs 3,175 per tola on Wednesday, silver rose to Rs 3,345 per tola on Thursday.

The association further reported that gold is currently trading at Rs 214,505 per 10 grams, while silver is priced at Rs 2,868 per 10 grams.
