Gold prices drop sharply, silver follows

KATHMANDU: Gold prices in the Nepali market saw a significant decline on Thursday after a continuous upward trend.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of gold fell by Rs 5,400 per tola compared to Wednesday.

The latest rate lists Shapawala gold at Rs 302,300 per tola, down from Wednesday’s high of Rs 307,700 per tola.

The price of 10 grams of gold also dropped to Rs 259,175.

Silver prices mirrored the decline, with rates decreasing by Rs 140 per tola to Rs 5,010, compared to Rs 5,150 on Wednesday.
