Gold price surges sharply, silver declines

KATHMANDU: Gold prices in Nepal witnessed a dramatic surge on Wednesday, jumping by Rs 14,600 per tola in a single day, reversing the recent downward trend in the bullion market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has now reached Rs 288,500 per tola, significantly higher compared to Tuesday’s rate.

Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction.

The price of silver dropped by Rs 415 per tola, and is currently being traded at Rs 4,920 per tola.
