Gold price hits record high in Nepalese market

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in Nepal surged to a historic level on Tuesday, marking a significant rise in the precious metals market.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, both gold and silver witnessed notable price increases on the third day of the week.

Gold prices jumped by Rs 1,800 per tola compared to Monday, reaching Rs 276,500 per tola.

On Monday, gold was trading at Rs 274,700 per tola.

The continuous price surge has made gold purchases increasingly expensive for buyers.

Silver also saw a rise, with its price climbing to Rs 5,340 per tola on Tuesday, up from Rs 5,195 per tola the previous day.
