Gold dips slightly, silver rises in Nepalese market

KATHMANDU: The price of gold saw a slight decline in the Nepalese market on Wednesday, while silver recorded an upward trend.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the rate of Chhapawal gold (as per traditional measure) fell by Rs 700, trading at Rs 236,300 per tola, compared to Rs 237,000 per tola on Tuesday.
This marks a minor correction after consecutive days of rising gold prices.
Meanwhile, silver prices increased, with rates climbing from Rs 2,920 per tola on Tuesday to Rs 2,965 per tola on Wednesday, an increase of Rs 45 per tola.
The association also reported that gold is trading at Rs 202,590 per 10 grams and silver at Rs 2,542 per 10 grams.
