KATHMANDU: The film Gobar Ganesh, directed by Balchi Dhurbe (Marichman Shrestha), has hit theaters nationwide today, coinciding with the Maghe Sankranti holiday.
The 140-minute social drama explores the dreams of ordinary citizens striving for a better life in Kathmandu, highlighting the gap between aspiration and reality.
Produced under Balchi Dhurve Films, the movie features an ensemble cast including Balchi Dhurve, Barsha Siwakoti, Binod Neupane, Padam Tamang, Nirmal Sharma, Laxminath Timalsina, Santosh Bania, Sandeep Lama, Maotse Gurung, Sitadevi Timalsina, Pujan Ghimire (Puku), Buddhi Tamang, Bishal Pahari, Ramesh Budhathoki, and Swastika Lamichhane.
The crew includes Taranath Neupane as chief editor, Yogesh Kaji Shah handling the background music, Shankar Pandey in production, Shivram Shrestha as director of photography, and Bipin Mall in charge of editing.
