GIBL organizes nationwide blood donation drive on 19th anniversary

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL) has organized a large-scale blood donation program simultaneously across all seven provinces of Nepal to mark its 19th anniversary.

The program was conducted as part of the 19 corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives announced by the bank on the occasion of its 19th year of establishment.

The bank officially completed 19 years on Friday, Poush 18, and entered its 20th year of operation.

To commemorate the milestone, blood donation camps were held at multiple branches nationwide, including: Threpaine Branch in Koshi Province; Bardibas Branch in Madhesh Province; Kantipath and Narayangadh branches in Bagmati Province; Pokhara New Road Branch in Gandaki Province; Chauraha Butwal and Nepalgunj branches in Lumbini Province; Surkhet Branch in Karnali Province; and Dhangadhi Branch in Sudurpaschim Province.

The program, organized in collaboration with Grande International Hospital and the Nepal Red Cross Society, witnessed the participation of 558 blood donors.

The blood collected through the initiative will be distributed with priority to underprivileged, low-income, and economically marginalized individuals.

Global IME Bank stated that it has been consistently conducting such social initiatives as part of its corporate social responsibility commitments.

The bank has also been recognized by various national and international institutions for excellence in different categories.
