Gen Z group protests at Singha Durbar against PM Karki

KATHMANDU: A faction of the Gen Z Group led by Miraj Dhungana staged a protest in front of the Singha Durbar gate on Tuesday, accusing Prime Minister Sushila Karki of refusing to address their demands and denying them time to submit a memorandum.
The demonstrators attempted to enter Singha Durbar to press their concerns, resulting in a brief scuffle with police stationed at the main gate.
Speaking to the media after the protest, Dhungana alleged that the government had shown no seriousness toward the demands raised by the Gen Z generation.
He claimed that despite their call for good governance, the Prime Minister had been “repeating empty slogans of ‘Nirvana’ instead of responding to the youth’s concerns.”
Dhungana warned that their movement would continue until their demands are fulfilled.
