Gaurav Upreti wins MAN–Citizens aspiring manager award

KATHMANDU: Gaurav Upreti has been honored with this year’s “MAN–Citizens Aspiring Manager Award”, announced at the National Management Conference of the Management Association of Nepal (MAN) on Saturday.
The award was presented by the Honorable Chief Justice, Prakash Man Singh Raut.
The selection process was conducted by a committee comprising officials from Citizens Bank, Purbanchal University, and MAN, ensuring a rigorous and transparent evaluation.
The award aims to recognize significant contributions to management education in Nepal and inspire future management professionals, as stated by the bank.
The MAN–Citizens Aspiring Manager Award was established last year through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Citizens Bank International Limited and MAN to honor and encourage MBA students demonstrating excellence.
Under this agreement, the top-performing MBA student at Purbanchal University is awarded Rs 51,000 annually.
Citizens Bank, a recipient of the “Bank of the Year 2024 and 2025” awards, has consistently introduced innovative banking solutions in Nepal. In collaboration with PhonePe, the bank launched the country’s first “Citizens PhonePe Virtual Credit Card”. Recently, it also introduced the “Citizens Gen Z Savings Account” and the “Citizens Digi Bank” integrated online platform, targeting young customers. For freelancers, a dedicated “Freelancer Savings Account” has been launched.
Additionally, Citizens Bank offers share application services and CRA number acquisition via its mobile banking app, along with cross-bank teller services, enabling customers of other banks to withdraw cash from Citizens Bank branches by scanning a QR code.
With 200 branches, 169 ATMs, 3 extended counters, and 42 branchless banking units across 61 districts, Citizens Bank currently serves 1.976 million customers, providing modern and innovative banking services nationwide.
