FM Deuba highlights Pokhara as hub for adventure tourism

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, stated that Pokhara has evolved into a premier hub for adventure tourism in Nepal.

She made these remarks while inaugurating the Bagaincha Resort Spa, operated by the Anshubhara Group, in Pokhara today.

Reflecting on her childhood visits, Minister Deuba shared fond memories of being captivated by the natural beauty and charm of the city. She emphasized Pokhara’s continued appeal as a top destination for domestic and international travelers.

The Minister also stressed the need for Nepal to remain vigilant about the growing impacts of climate change, noting the severe consequences of recent flooding in neighboring countries.

At the same event, former Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Khagaraj Adhikari, described Pokhara as a priceless gift of nature.

He remarked that the city attracts the majority of adventure-seeking tourists upon their arrival in Nepal.

Bindu Kumar Thapa, Chair of the Anshubhara Group and the current Minister for Social Development in Gandaki Province, shared that the company is working on innovative approaches in tourism, entrepreneurship, and employment generation, aiming to make a meaningful contribution to the region’s development.
