KATHMANDU: Dr. Toshima Karki, leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former State Minister of Health, has raised critical questions about Nepal’s current political landscape.

Emphasizing the party’s role in safeguarding democracy, upholding the republic, and ensuring good governance, Dr. Karki stressed that RSP must emerge as a center of new hope for the nation.

Addressing growing public disillusionment with the current political structure and leadership, she highlighted the party’s potential to lead the country through its ongoing challenges.

“We must earn the people’s trust and turn the dream of a new Nepal into reality. Good governance, transparency, and accountability must be our guiding principles,” Dr. Karki said via social media.

On issues of identity and inclusivity, she strongly opposed discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, or region. “No form of discrimination should be tolerated. We must ensure equal opportunities and respect for all,” she added.

Dr. Karki also underscored the critical role of youth in shaping Nepal’s future. “The country can no longer progress under old political styles and leadership. It is time to move forward with fresh ideas and new energy,” she stated.

Highlighting the need for structural and political reforms, Dr. Karki called for a shift from traditional politics to systems that address the real needs of the people. “Conventional politics no longer works. We must develop a new political system capable of responding effectively to the aspirations of our citizens,” she said.
