KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that Nepal is governed by an inclusive democratic system that represents all communities.

Speaking at a program held at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Friday, Deuba highlighted that the Constitution of Nepal ensures the inclusion of women, indigenous nationalities, Dalits, and other marginalized groups. “We have a constitution that connects everyone in this country,” he said.

Despite this inclusive framework, Deuba pointed out a key challenge: no single party is able to secure a majority under the current constitutional structure. “The way the Constitution is designed, no party can get a clear majority on its own. Parties must collaborate to form a government,” he explained. However, he expressed optimism that if parties unite, achieving a majority is still possible.

Deuba emphasized that Nepal has established itself as a country based on inclusivity and collective progress.

He also praised the Tharu community for remaining loyal and committed to the nation even in difficult circumstances.
